...Work
-Morning...-
-Boss1 rushes into the office all in a huff... ranting about pricing and how we are not competitive enough-
Boss1- 'We need to sharpen our pencils on our pricing! We need to be more competitive!'
Me- '...'
Boss1- 'No fluff in the quotes... I don't care if it $30 or $30,000 if they don't ask for it, we don't include it!'
Me- '...uhm ok...'
Boss1- 'Cheap is CHEAP!'
-Boss1 leaves in the same whirlwind he arrived in-
-10 minutes later... Boss2 saunters into the office-
Boss2- 'I need you guys to add $12,000 to all the quotes...'
Me- '...*confused*... can I ask what for?'
Boss2- '...*pauses for a minute* ...I can't tell you...'
Me- '...'
-Next morning...-
-Boss1 rushes into the office all in a huff... ranting about pricing and how we are not competitive enough-
Boss1- 'We need to sharpen our pencils on our pricing! We need to be more competitive!'
Me- '...'
Can anyone tell me how one is supposed to work with this kind of thought process?
*...sigh*

I have no idea what your job is Trevor. I thought I knew, now I'm just confused.
Actually, I never knew. It was all pretend.
I thought you drew things...
now you're... sharpening pencils?

Yea I design fire trucks :D Unfortunatly along with drawing them I have to price them aswell... and "Sharpen our Pencils" is a phrase my boss uses to remind us that we have to keep the pricing clean... meaning no extras or little things that the customer didn't ask for... ...the boring part of my job... :P
